Ilene Reinfeld

I started my career in the public schools as a teacher and held various leadership roles leading up to my current role as Head of School at LES, where I just completed my 21st year.

Initially drawn to a career in Child Psychology, I enrolled in Pitzer College in Claremont and received a degree in Child Development and Psychology. Later, I changed my focus towards teaching and earned my credential from UCLA and a Masters in school administration from Pepperdine University. In 2012, I was awarded a fully-funded fellowship to the distinguished Klingenstein Center at Columbia University. A lifelong learner, I promote a “whole child” educational philosophy and always encourages all members of the community to put forth their “best selves.”
